I have for a long time felt it my duty to testify to the efficacy of Christian Science healing.

Since the birth of my first child I had suffered for eight years from what physicians called "displacement of parts." I received all kinds of treatments from many doctors, but only temporary relief was obtained. The physicians then agreed that an operation was the only solution of the problem, a method to which my husband was opposed. But "man's extremity is God's opportunity." In my despair I turned to God who is "a very present help in trouble." I was led to the study of Christian Science of which I had heard years previously but had disregarded. I read the chapter on Prayer from our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and was healed. Words cannot describe my joy. I felt as though I walked on air, and I wanted everyone to partake of this blessing. But I had to learn that only as we are following the command of the Master, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven," can we attract others to this God-given truth.

This healing was followed by others too numerous to mention, both for me and for my family. A sister of mine who marveled at this healing started the study of Christian Science for the purpose of learning the power which was behind this so-called miracle. Suffice it to say that she is now an ardent student.
