I wish to express my gratitude to God for a healing experienced about three years ago. I had a very severe pain in my right ear which compelled me to remain in bed for three days, and as the regulations of the institution in whose employ I am require that a doctor certify the necessity of one's absence from duty, I called in a medical practitioner to examine my ear. He stated that an abscess had burst in the ear and had pierced the drum, and he informed me that, in his opinion, it was impossible that I should ever regain the hearing of that ear. I worked about it as we are taught in Christian Science, trying to realize that as the child of God man is perfect in every respect, but I did not appear to respond. I then asked a Christian Science practitioner to help me, and this she lovingly did. Two days afterward I noticed a distinct improvement in my ear, and in about a week I was able to hear the ticking of my watch. My hearing was restored and is now normal, and for this and many other blessings, both mental and physical, that I have received from the study of Christian Science, I am indeed grateful to God. I wish also to express my gratitude to the Christian Science practitioner for the loving help she gave me.—
