Christian Scientists are not faith healers as your readers...

Commonwealth-Reporter

Christian Scientists are not faith healers as your readers would infer from the address quoted in the issue of your paper of March 17. Faith, as this word is often used, is a blind belief in God. Faith healers have been regarded as those who heal by prayer through a blind belief in God. Christian Scientists are just what their name implies—those who have a scientific demonstrable knowledge of the truth about God and man and the universe, as taught and lived by the Master, Christ Jesus. The healing of the sick and the reforming of the sinner follow as a natural consequence of the knowledge of the truth which Jesus said would make free. This truth is that God is Mind, and, as Christ Jesus indicated, Spirit, infinite and perfect, the one primal cause; and since like produces like, the real man and universe are His infinite, perfect ideas, wholly spiritual, not material.
