Evening Post

In a letter published in the Worcester Post of March 12, a professor made several unjust statements implying that it is dangerous to depend on the practice and religion of Christian Science.

Kindly permit me to inform your readers that Christian Scientists obey the laws of the land and report communicable diseases to the proper authorities. They also appreciate the motives and achievements of honest Christian doctors of medicine. They do not, however, recognize that it is dangerous to depend on the practice of Christian Science.

Surely it cannot be considered dangerous to depend upon consecrated prayer, the promises of the Bible regarding the power of God to heal, and obedience to the commands of Christ Jesus. The testimonies of healing given in more than two thousand branches of the Christian Science Mother Church on Wednesday evenings and the testimonies published in the Christian Science periodicals after careful verification prove conclusively that Christian Scientists recognize the great good which dependence upon their religion brings.
