I wish to express my great gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me and mine. I was quite young when I first became interested, and have always found it of inestimable benefit in the many problems that have since arisen. My father was away from home in a sanitarium for nervous mental diseases for over ten years. During this period I clung to the truth as taught in Christian Science, that God is Mind and intelligence, that intelligence is not dependent on brain, and that there is no intelligence in matter. I did not lose hope that the God of love would heal him, and I tried to think of my father as in reality God's idea. Christian Science help was given for a while at first, but did not seem to afford any lasting benefit, and the years stretched along. One week at a Wednesday evening testimony meeting a lady told how her father, who had been away with the same difficulty for ten years, had been healed by her constant clinging to the fact that man is God's idea, spiritual and perfect. This gave me hope; and later on the same practitioner who had helped on the case at first was asked to help again, over ten years later. Then I started the almost daily writing of letters to the patient; also, prayerful study of the ninety-first psalm was given. These words of the hymn written by Mrs. Eddy (Poems, p.12),

"O'er waiting harpstrings of the mind
There sweeps a strain,
Low, sad, and sweet, whose measures bind
The power of pain,
