As I am deeply grateful for what Christian Science is...

As I am deeply grateful for what Christian Science is teaching me, it seems only right to express my gratitude through the Sentinel. I hope this may help others as their testimonies in these columns have helped me. I am continually gaining a clearer understanding of this truth, which is dispelling the doubts I had when beginning the study of Christian Science. Desire, expectancy, and perseverance are requisites for progress in this study; and as I have held to these qualities, the seeming trials and subsequent demonstrations have proved to be stepping-stones. I use Christian Science daily in my business and social affairs; it is destroying wrong concepts which I used to have, especially with regard to individuals. With the help of loving practitioners I have been healed of tonsillitis, car-sickness, ulcerated tooth, influenza, ear trouble, and other ills. Some of these difficulties were met quickly, while others needed more consecration; and I know that a step was gained with each demonstration.

I am grateful to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, who has shown us the true working of divine Mind and harmonious government.

(Mrs.) Isabelle Harris Bastian, Albany, New York.
