So many blessings have come to me through the knowledge of Christian Science and through its application, as well as to my family and others of my acquaintance that I wish to give my testimony, in the hope that it may be helpful to others, as various testimonies have been to me.

Before I knew anything about Christian Science, and when I was president of a musical club, I entertained in my home a singer from Boston with her accompanist. I knew that these women had something which I had not, and that they went to their rooms frequently and read some little books; but although I was consumed with curiosity to know what these little books were, I did not find out at the time. Then one day I spoke of being tired, and one of the guests remarked: "Why, what is there to be tired? Nothing but mind can be tired!" I did not understand it; but I received the benefit from this declaration of truth, and found a strenuous week made comparatively easy and burdens rolled off!

Later on, after a few years' study of Christian Science literature, I was uplifted at the time of a bereavement. A friend who was a practitioner helped me, and with the constant denial of the reality of anything but infinite Love, the understanding that I could trust that Love, and the constant struggle to make practical the understanding of that Love by reflecting it, I was lifted upon a veritable spiritual mount and entirely freed from any sense of loss, sorrow, or separation.
