It is now over fifteen years since I took up the study of Christian Science, and I can truthfully say it has never failed me. Soon after becoming interested in it, I went to a small town in Maine. In 1916 I was taken very ill with lead poisoning. As there were no Christian Scientists there I relied wholly on absent treatments, and was cured through the healing power of Truth in a very short time. To say I am grateful for this healing and for many others, expresses but faintly the gratitude I owe to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for all her inspired writings.
I am indeed grateful for the many physical healings, but more grateful for the spiritual uplifting; and my prayer is that I may live the gratitude I feel. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; for class instruction; and for the loving help of practitioners.
