Among the Churches

Current Notes

Interboro Review

DUMONT, NEW JERSEY (Society).—The new Christian Science church building, situated on the east side of Washington Avenue in Dumont, a short distance north of Madison Avenue, has reached completion, and has now been formally opened. Both the exterior and the interior of the building present the appearance of an early Colonial church. The sides of the structure are covered with cream-colored clapboards, and the front is of brick. The wide front walk and the steps leading to the church are also of brick. Between the tall pillars, the Colonial doorway, with its fan of lights above and the old-time hinges, makes a beautiful entrance. The seating capacity of the main auditorium is approximately one hundred and sixty. The lower floor will contain the Sunday school room and also the Reading Room. In the Sunday school room, too, the seating capacity is approximately one hundred and sixty.—Interboro Review.
