I had not been reading our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mrs. Eddy's inspired gift to humanity, for more than a few weeks when I was enabled to leave off glasses which I had worn for more than ten years. I was also freed from an acute form of indigestion for which I had been strictly dieted and under treatment from a specialist for some time. The same winter I had a severe attack of muscular rheumatism which prevented me from raising myself in bed; and upon asking for help from a Christian Science practitioner, I was so completely healed within a few days that I have never since had the slightest return of this trouble, and this, in spite of the fact that the doctors had previously told me that I must expect these attacks every winter.

As I had been left an orphan at an early age, and had my living to earn, all this meant a great deal to me. These and many other physical healings have proved to me the presence, in this age, of the Comforter, the "Spirit of truth" (which it was promised by Jesus our Way-shower would guide us "into all truth"); but greater than any physical healing has been the freedom which comes from finding, even in a measure, that life is not material, but spiritual, that evil has no power, and in realizing that, eventually, this saving and healing truth will be accepted by all mankind.

In the business world I have found that one's dominion is in the measure of his adherence to divine Principle, and that in remembering to reject for one's self and others the suggestions of fear which mortal mind is continually presenting, one is enabled to regard each problem as a further opportunity to prove God's loving care.
