God has so wonderfully blessed me in the six years I have been a student of Christian of Science that I desire acknowledge Him in all His ways. Nearly all my life had been spent going from one doctor to another seeking health. After materia medica, osteopathy, chiropractors, massage, diet, sun and air baths all had failed, I became greatly discouraged and tried to find help in my church; but when I would ask why God did not heal to-day, I was told that the healings Jesus performed were for that period only. It seemed as if God had forsaken me, and I almost ceased to pray at all.

I could not understand a God who sent suffering, nor could I believe it His will. After I had had two X-ray examinations and been in a sanitarium for five months, the physician advised a milder climate, without any hope of cure, but that I might be more comfortable. The X-ray showed a so-called incurable disease of the hip bone.

I was very antagonistic to what I thought Christian Science to be. When I was away from all my family, I was asked why I did not try Christian Science. I refused to have anything to do with it. Soon, however, I asked a friend if Christian Science could cure me; and when she assured me it did heal, I asked if she would send her mother to me. When her mother came and stood by my bed, I had never seen a more radiant face: there was so much love expressed. She answered all my questions. Then very meekly and humbly I asked for help, which was lovingly given; and the healing was instantaneous. Extreme weakness, nervousness, kidney trouble, along with numerous other things, vanished at the same time. In a few weeks I had gained twenty-two pounds in weight.
