Letters from the Field

"I should like to express my gratitude for having had the wonderful opportunity of serving in the sanatorium of The Christian Science Benevolent Association as one of the associates. The experience was most beneficial and broadening, making an impression upon me which I shall never forget. As there are associates there from various parts of the world, it makes the cooperation and good-fellowship far-reaching. The atmosphere is both healing and strengthening to those working there.

"One healing for which I am especially grateful was on the subject of home. For a number of years I longed to have my feelings for a home satisfied, and felt at times as if this were impossible. The night before leaving for the sanatorium the word 'home' repeated itself over and over again in my thought, but I did not understand the message until after reaching my destination. The friendly welcome and good-fellowship I met with there made me feel that it was home indeed.

"Our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, writes (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 254), 'Pilgrim on earth, thy home is heaven; stranger, thou art the guest of God;' and she speaks of heaven as harmony. I felt from the first day there until the last that I was the 'guest of God,' good, and also that the atmosphere was one of harmony.
