Out of gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and my family, I desire to give this testimony. My first healing in Christian Science was from a very severe form of eye trouble, which I had had for many years. The Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was brought into our home by a neighbor. I started to read this book out of curiosity, and before I had finished I found myself completely healed of the eye trouble. I have never worn glasses from that day to this, nor have I had the slightest return of the trouble since then—over twenty years ago. Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 486): "Sight, hearing, all the spiritual senses of man, are eternal. They cannot be lost. Their reality and immortality are in Spirit and understanding, not in matter,—hence their permanence."

We have experienced many healings in our family through the study and application of Christian Science, a few of which I will mention: rheumatism, tonsillitis, influenza, and fevers of various sorts. I am grateful for all the physical healings, but I am most grateful for the blessings of peace and happiness, and the spiritual unfoldment of God and man in His image. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; also for the privilege and joy of class instruction, which has meant so much to me. I am grateful to God; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who was spiritual enough to give such a blessing to all mankind.
