I should like the privilege of correcting certain of the statements about the Christian Science concept of God contained in an editorial in your recent issue. Christian Science teaches that "God is incorporeal, divine, supreme, infinite Mind, Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, Love" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 465). That God is in any material thing, or that matter has reality, is not in accordance with its doctrines. Indeed, the opposite is the fact.

When we consider God as Mind, it becomes apparent that He not only could, but does, know and govern the universe, of which He is the creator. His law is operative always, everywhere. The word "Father" was one often spoken by Jesus. John tells us that "God is love." The student of Christian Science learns to know God as ever present, all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving. Hence, it is easy and natural to turn to Him for guidance in the problems of everyday life.
