Each day unfolds more of the wonders of Christian Science as a complete revelation. While Christian Science is a complete revelation, yet we can see this only as we are obedient. We must not separate what has been so lovingly given us, taking only what we think we want, and expect to get the full blessing. Thus, we cannot separate Christian Science from its church. I am grateful to God, to Mrs. Eddy, and to all the students of Christian Science who have helped me this far out of materiality.

I began the reading of Christian Science literature out of respect for a neighbor, who had asked if I would not like to read some Sentinels. Not to hurt her feelings, I looked them over, reading a few articles here and there. While doing this, I grasped the spiritual meaning of friendship, and at once saw that if Christian Science revealed the spiritual meaning of things, it was worth investigating. I then began to study in earnest all the papers my neighbor gave me. I saw, too, why she so much wanted me to read them: she must have understood how much I needed the help Christian Science could give me, spiritually, physically, and financially. I have written of this experience because it shows how a right idea, though seemingly small, when implanted in human consciousness will multiply and increase, and bring true salvation.

My whole life was turned from darkness to light, from death to life, through a loving thought of courtesy. Now courtesy is not a small thing when understood aright; for it must include in itself honesty, and must be governed by the Golden Rule, if it be true courtesy.
