I am indeed grateful for Christian Science

I am indeed grateful for Christian Science. It has healed me of sickness and sorrow, and has made me a happy wife and mother. There are six in our family, and Christian Science has met our every need for the past ten years. I should like to mention one of the healings.

I sent our little son to one of my neighbors to carry some milk and on his way home he stepped on something in the grass, splitting his foot open and cutting a large artery. I heard him call, "Mother!" and began declaring the truth. When I reached him he was crying and trying to repeat the Lord's Prayer; and when his father picked him up blood was gushing from his foot. Several children of the neighborhood followed us into the house; but when my eldest daughter began reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy aloud to the boy, the children left at once. There was so much fear manifested that I called a practitioner, and in a few minutes peace and quiet reigned over us all. I am so grateful for this wonderful healing. The boy was able to be carried to school the first three days after the accident. From then on he could walk, and never missed a day that year.

We have had many other healings through Christian Science, such as typhoid fever, headaches, and smallpox—so many that I could hardly write of them all. I am a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Dallas, Texas, and have had class instruction. To say I am grateful for Christian Science is not enough. I can express my gratitude best by living it every day; and my prayer is that I may know more and more of this loving truth which Mrs. Eddy has given us.
