When I was a young man of about eighteen, asthma...
When I was a young man of about eighteen, asthma seemed to be manifested. I had treatment from a physician of high standing in the community in which I then lived, for more than a year, and then it was decided a change of climate was the only method by which I could be benefited. After about a year spent in Denver, Colorado, with but slight relief, I came back East to find the old trouble claiming even greater power than before. This condition, all the time growing more aggravated, seemed to be present until I reached the age of about thirty-five.
About that time in my experience I began the study of Christian Science in real earnest, and for the past twenty years I have been free from asthma. During this time many sicknesses have been healed, some through the help of a loving practitioner, and others through my own realization of the truth which makes free, as taught and demonstrated by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
A deep sense of gratitude is ever with me for the clearer understanding of God which has come to me from the study of Mrs. Eddy's revelation; for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; for class instruction in Christian Science; and for the privilege of helping others to a higher realization of man's unity with divine Principle.
