With a heart full of gratitude I give this testimony. My whole existence is filled with endless joy when I recall how divine, infinite Love has freed me from many seeming evils. In 1922, I found the way to Christian Science, and it is now the guiding star of my life. To material evidence a very serious case of blood poisoning prevented me from performing my duties in the position I occupied. My mother advised me to go to a Christian Science practitioner. Without any confidence whatever I went to her and asked for treatment, which was lovingly given. The practitioner's kind words gave me courage, and a sense of seeking and yearning awoke in me —seeking and yearning for Truth, for God, infinite good. I read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, with joy, and began to look upon the Bible in quite a new light. Through this study I feel happier and more contented than formerly. Although at times a pain tried to assert itself in my hand, I found new courage, thanks to the understanding gained and the patient work of the practitioner. Thoughts of fear gave place to confidence, and my hand regained its normal condition. Four weeks later I was able to take up all my duties again.
