Letters from the Field

[From a pardoned inmate of Walla Walla Penitentiary, Washington]

I am so glad I gained the understanding I have [of Christian Science], and hope to be able to live what I have learned. I want to understand that my life may be good for all. . . . So many of the boys from Seattle, boys who would like to appreciate the good things of life, spoke of the Christian Science meetings in the county jail. Really the meetings are doing much good. Well, I am going to take up my living where I left off from my family. It certainly is God's will for them to be with me now, and I cannot tell you what happiness I have had to see them again. I owe all this to the beginning you gave me in Christian Science. Do not lose track of me; I want you to continue as my helper, to work for me, to help me to know that my right work will be found.
