In the summer of 1912 I became ill with a very severe...

In the summer of 1912 I became ill with a very severe form of nervous trouble. I was worrying a great deal and could not seem to stop. Finally I became very morose and gloomy; so my mother took me to a doctor. He said he could not do anything for me unless I stopped worrying, and that I could not do. Time went on, and in September of that year I was sent to a sanitarium. In the spring of 1913 my mother went to spend an evening with a friend and met a lady who had been healed in Christian Science of just such a trouble as mine, and she asked my mother why we did not try Christian Science. Mother therefore spoke to the doctor, who also advised us to seek help in Science. A practitioner worked for me from May until September, when I was completely healed, and came out of the sanitarium. Oh, how grateful I was for the wonderful understanding of the truth that came to me at that time!

In the fall of 1921 I broke down again as a result of worrying. I had an intense fear all the time that I would have to go back to a sanitarium; so I again went to the practitioner and she worked for me. After she had treated me for a while it was thought wise for me to have a change, so I went to my brother's home, my sister-in-law being a Christian Scientist, and the work was taken up by another practitioner. After a while I began to improve, and finally became well enough to take a position, and all fear left me. Now I have a very fine position, am in perfect health, and very happy.
