I am very grateful for the complete healing in Christian Science...
I am very grateful for the complete healing in Christian Science of what physicians stated was a severe case of hay fever. Before coming into Christian Science I searched repeatedly for a cure from this annoyance. I rebelled at one physician, asking him why such a seemingly simple malady could not be healed, and was told that the world waited to acclaim the physician who should discover a cure for hay fever. I accepted his verdict.
When my search for my God-given heritage of deliverance from bondage was consummated by my acceptance of Christian Science, I seemed to have so many other difficulties to overcome that the hay fever seemed the least of them. On occasions when I asked for treatment I did receive relief, but never a cure. Finally the difficulty seemed to manifest itself in a very marked and distressing degree. At the time I had some literature distribution work to do which for one week kept me before the public; so I asked for help from another practitioner and received it. This cure has proved to be complete.
On analyzing my thinking to fortify myself against a return of the illness, I found I had not used the understanding I had received from the study of Christian Science, where Mrs. Eddy says in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 468), "Time is no part of eternity." I found that time is a limited and limiting belief; that eternality is infinite. The very word "infinity" bespeaks its limitlessness. Therefore there are no periods, relapses, or reversals in eternality. So the truth destroyed the ignorance, as it needs must always do by reason of divine law.
