I was always sickly and constantly under medical treatment. In January, 1920, I was obliged to undergo an operation on the stomach. Two years later I was very ill again, and was to be operated on once more. But I objected to this and consulted other skilled physicians. They said I was suffering from cancer. I continually grew worse, and the physician informed my husband that I was nearing the end. Signs of death were already perceptible when a dear friend visited me and told me of Christian Science. I was immediately ready to seek this help, and the following day a practitioner visited me and lovingly gave me treatment. On the third day I was healed. I arose, and went about my household duties. When the physician came and found me well, he was surprised beyond measure, and could only say that a miracle had been performed. I said, "Yes, God has healed me."

This experience helped me to recognize that God is omnipresent, and this recognition of His omnipresence brought me the comfort and help of which I was in great need. I wish to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science.
