From the time I was eighteen years old, I had suffered from a serious kidney disease, and no physician could help me. I had stone in the kidneys and bleeding of the kidneys. A specialist wished to operate upon me, saying the stone was so large it could not pass from me. I also suffered from gallstones. I had tried several cures, but none had relieved me. I also suffered from a swelling at the outlet of the stomach which prevented me from eating anything but light foods; and I suffered all the time from indigestion. Besides this, I had an inguinal rupture and could never be without a truss. I also suffered from turpentine poisoning. The specialist told me that my blood was completely poisoned, and it would never be possible to free my blood again. The poisoning caused an eruption on my face, arms, and hands, which made me quite despairing and melancholy; for I had consulted not only all the specialists here, but others out of town, and none of them had been able to relieve me. In my despair I turned to a Christian Science practitioner, who very kindly helped me when error tried to discourage me. She was very patient with me; and I have been freed from all these complaints. Our great Physician has healed me.

For this wonderful proof of divine omnipotence and love I thank God and Christian Science with my whole heart; I also thank our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has shown us the way to health and holiness. I also wish to express thanks to the practitioner for her devoted endeavor to bring me nearer to Truth.
