A recent issue of your paper carried a news story stating that a number of leading members of the Christian Science church with headquarters in Boston, including one on the editorial staff of The Christian Science Monitor, were contemplating the establishment of a Christian Science colony near St. Petersburg. That the public may be reliably informed, we wish to state that no person having any official connection with the Christian Science church is interested in any such enterprise, and no such project has any authorization approval from The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. There never has been, and there never will be, a colonization of genuine Christian Scientists, because Christian Science is a religion reaching beyond a limited following to include universal humanity.
