With a heart full of gratitude and love for God, who is Love, for Jesus the Christ, and for Mary Baker Eddy, our Leader, I wish to write of some of the many healings which have taken place in our home through the help of practitioners, friends, and my own study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," written by Mrs. Eddy.

The first healings were in 1914. At that time our first baby and I were healed of bowel trouble. Soon, however, so much material work needed to be done that I neglected to study. By 1918 our third baby was here, and was a poor little starved one. In August of that summer my eyes seemed to trouble me greatly, and I could scarcely see. I had them examined by a specialist. While on my way home by train, the thought came to me that Christian Science would heal my eyes. I started to study every minute I could; and in one month's time our baby grew so round that neighbors could hardly believe him to be the same child. He has Christian Science alone to thank for his being here to-day. My eyes grew strong, and have given me no trouble since.

In June or July of 1918, before I took up the study of Christian Science the second time, our little girl was bothered by spasms and the doctor was called. She was in bed a week, and unhappy for another week. After I had been studying Christian Science for a month or more, she was taken ill again with spasms. We had Christian Science treatment for her. She lay on her bed less than one day, and was her own bright self in three days. The spasms were entirely overcome. Bleeding piles made life a burden for me, but they were finally healed through my own faithful study of Christian Science. Through the application of Christian Science a dear friend relieved me of cramp in the lower limbs. Twice when ptomaine poisoning was manifested, I was able to rule it out by the truth. The truth contained in the ninety-first psalm carried me through a difficulty which seemed like influenza, and enabled me to be about enough to do the most needed work for my household and to care for three small children. Measles, whooping cough, chicken pox, summer dysentery, and tonsillitis are some of the other diseases which have been healed by Truth in our home. An unreasonable jealousy was destroyed by my own study. Fever vanished in thirty minutes. The power of Truth raised a brother-in-law from what was thought might be his deathbed. That "the word of God is quick, and powerful" was proved that morning in 1920. Many times I have called for help and it has been lovingly given. Many more times I have been able to meet the need with my own knowledge of Truth.
