The blessings that have come to my family and myself since we took up Christian Science have been so many and wonderful that I recount them with the greatest gratitude, and with regret at the necessary omission of numerous instances.

Seventeen years ago our condition was deplorable. My wife, who for ten years had been a semi-invalid, was getting worse, and two of our best physicians advised an operation for an organic difficulty. Instead, upon the advice of a friend, she took up Christian Science and was completely healed. Since then, by the constant use and application of Christian Science, she has enjoyed the most wonderful health and physical vigor, taking part in athletics, social activities, and daily work with the greatest zest and freedom.

We now have four children. The eldest, who was two years old at the time we took up Christian Science, had been under the doctor's care several times. They have all had a remarkably healthy record since then, owing to the protective work of our religion, and in many years have not missed a day at school; but there have been healings, mostly instantaneous, of measles, mumps, whooping cough, colds, swellings, influenza, and sore throat, in their incipient stages.
