That Christian Science opens to us the Scriptures, I have...
That Christian Science opens to us the Scriptures, I have had many proofs. I was suffering from what physicians call eczema on my hands and arms. I had worked faithfully in Christian Science for some time, but the work seemed of no avail. I also called a faithful practitioner, who helped me for three weeks, still with no physical results. I decided to go on alone. I said to myself, If it is patience I need, I have it. And in a few days, as I was going about my daily work in the home, the following passage from Galatians came to me almost as if some one had spoken it: "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." I saw then as never before that what I thought was what I sowed. I at once set to work to hold right thoughts whatever the material evidence, and almost immediately the condition showed much improvement. When the irritation manifested itself I would say, "I am going to sow nothing but good, and can reap nothing but good." I am grateful to say that this condition was entirely overcome in a few weeks.
We have had in our home many proofs of God's tender love and care. For twenty years, since she was four years old, my only daughter has not tasted medicine. She has had measles, whooping cough, typhoid fever, smallpox, and pneumonia. These were all healed through the application of Christian Science.
My heart goes out in love to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for giving to the world this great truth, whereby we may all work out our own salvation.
