Six years ago I was preparing to be operated on for goiter, when Christian Science was suggested to me by a gentleman who had seen the healing effects of Christian Science in his own family; and rather than have my neck scarred by the surgeon's knife, I determined to give it a trial. Without any belief in or understanding of Christian Science, the healing came. Then I drifted away for a year or more; but for the past four years Christian Science has been my only physician. My understanding has come slowly; but in every instance when I have put Christian Science into practice, I have been rewarded with the proof of God's loving care.

I have proved my sight to be independent of glasses, which I had worn for several years. Within a short time I have had the most wonderful proof of God's loving care and protection and His willingness to unwind my snarls. When I was willing to let go of error and pray for divine guidance, my seemingly impossible problem was solved. My human sense of the responsibility of motherhood had to be relinquished first, and it was most difficult for me to do this. I am so grateful for Christian Science, the literature, the testimony meetings, the loving practitioners I have met, and for Mary Baker Eddy, who has given to us this wonderful truth, whereby all our human problems may be solved if we will only yield our thought to the only power, the power of God, good.
