Just prior to the World War, I was healed of chronic...
Just prior to the World War, I was healed of chronic constipation through Christian Science treatment. Tonsillitis, which had been an annual event with me for many years, was also overcome in two treatments; and this condition has never returned. During the war I attended the Christian Science Welfare rooms and the services occasionally, but after the war I gave no further thought to Christian Science until about three years ago. I then found myself at the end of the rope; but, having had the above-mentioned healings, I went to a Christian Science practitioner and was instantaneously healed of the social drink habit. Through the loving help of a practitioner and my own study many healings have taken place since this time. I was healed of dizziness and chronic dyspepsia. It was over a year before these healings were complete, and at times things seemed very dark. I was healed of an acute attack of hiccup and vomitting in a very short time. I have also been healed of the smoking habit.
I am very grateful for the physical healings, but most grateful for the overcoming of sin and for the regeneration that has taken place. I am also grateful for membership in a branch church and for the opportunity of serving in a small way; for membership in The Mother Church; and for all the activities our Leader has established. I have enjoyed the privilege of class instruction, for which I am very grateful. I am deeply grateful to all those who have helped me along the way, and to the practitioner who encouraged me and directed me to God when things seemed darkest. I owe my life to Christian Science; and my heart is full of gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to Mary Baker Eddy.
