It is with grateful heart that I give my testimony to the healing power of Christian Science. A long time before knowing of this truth there was a great desire and longing for a more definite understanding of God. I was at that time suffering from a severe case of nervous prostration. A friend told me what Christian Science had done for her, and as I was in great need of physical help I turned to this truth, finding health and, best of all, an understanding of how to know God.

I wish also to tell of an experience some years ago, when I was able with what understanding I had to prove God's allness. I was walking over a rough piece of ground where the grass was very tall, when my foot slipped and I went down into a hole up to my knee. As I fell my ankle turned, but just as quickly my thought turned to that ever present help. The friends who were with me remarked that I was very pale, but after a few moments I was able to rise and walk a distance of nearly a mile to the car. I clung to the divine presence every step of the way and felt that perfect peace "which passeth all understanding." There was absolutely no pain, although the flesh was very much swollen and discolored. I slept all night, but in the morning was obliged to make several attempts before being able to put my foot to the floor. My first thought was that I must have a practitioner; then I realized how beautifully divine Love had helped me in working out my problem thus far, and I knew God would finish His work if I were willing to trust and not be afraid. I suffered no further inconvenience, for which I was indeed very grateful. I was also healed of neuralgia through the faithful work of a practitioner.

I have had many proofs that this truth which Mrs. Eddy has given to the world is the same understanding of God which Jesus preached and gave to his disciples nineteen hundred years ago.
