It is indeed a great joy to bear testimony to the power of God as manifested through the teachings of Christian Science. For about sixteen years previous to October, 1915, I had been afflicted with a complication of diseases, such as heart and lung trouble, rheumatism, sick headache, and a very severe stomach trouble. The suffering at times was almost unbearable. I had very little use of my left arm on account of the severe pain in my left side.

After being treated by a number of the best physicians, spending part of my time in a hospital for medical treatment and in the mountains with very little benefit, I was advised to try a still further change of climate. I did so, but instead of getting better I grew worse. Then one day, when I had had a very severe attack of acute stomach trouble, a friend called to see me and asked me why I did not try Christian Science. I replied that I knew nothing of it. My friend then told me of some healings in Christian Science, and after a brief explanation of its healing power I at once became interested. I called to see a practitioner, and asked for help, which was lovingly given me, and was instantaneously healed of the stomach trouble. For this healing I was indeed very grateful. As I began to study into the meaning of Christian Science, and found the wonderful healing and uplifting power therein declared, my health improved with the better understanding I received each day; and, with the help of a practitioner, in three months' time I was completely healed of my every disease.

I was in perfect health until about one year ago, when I was taken very ill with pneumonia. I called a practitioner and was relieved of the severe pain in a few hours, and in two weeks was perfectly well. I was healed of a sprained ankle in three days. My family, as well as I myself, have had many healings in the past seven years. Christian Science has given us a practical religion, one that we have found to be demonstrable, not only in the healing of disease but in business life; and, through the realization that God is divine Mind, many business worries have been overcome and avoided, and difficult problems satisfactorily solved. Words cannot express my gratitude for the wonderful healings we have received. We rely on God to supply our every need, whatever it may be.
