Three years ago I was healed through Christian Science of a severe abdominal complaint, after an operation had proved of no avail. Although I had not much confidence at first, the complaint disappeared when I recognized that God is omnipresent Love and a present help.

We experienced still more of God's goodness and love in the healing of our little daughter, who was taken seemingly very ill with meningitis. My husband and I declared God's goodness and omnipresence at first ourselves, but then asked a dear practitioner for help, which was immediately and lovingly given. I should like to stae here that the physician who was called to please our relatives declared there was no hope, that she would not live two hours, and that human help was powerless; but that if a miracle were to happen and the child should recover from the illness, she would undoubtedly be an imbecile or an idiot. This was a doctor's verdict. Loving help was, however, given us in Christian Science, and the very next day a perceptible improvement had taken place. The doctor, who paid another visit, was astonished to find the child alive. Thanks to Christian Science the child is now, after three years, in the best of health.

We are grateful to God and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, for all that we have experienced in Christian Science. We are also grateful to the practitioner for his loving help. We wish to express our heartfelt thanks for the understanding we are gaining through Mrs. Eddy's works of how to know God aright, as He was in the beginning and will ever remain.
