It is with the utmost gratitude for Christian Science that I add my testimony of its healing power to the many appearing in the Christian Science periodicals.

Over sixteen years ago the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was given to me, and at that time, with the help of a Christian Science practitioner, I was permanently healed of frequent attacks of sore throat. I did not realize, however, until some months later that I had been freed from this trouble; and it was not until an experience of sorrow came to me that I turned again to Christian Science to learn what its teaching has of comfort and promise. For the first time I went one Sunday to a Christian Science service and there heard our Leader's beautiful hymn beginning, "Shepherd, show me how to go" (Poems, p. 14), which seemed to me the most perfect prayer I had ever heard. Over and over again the first four lines came to my thought:—
