Words cannot express my gratitude to all who have so lovingly and patiently assisted me in finding the truth as taught by Mary Baker Eddy. About five years ago I was told by physicians that I would never be well again; that I should have a very serious operation, which they hesitated to advise, and even then no permanent relief was promised. It was then I sought the Christ. A very dear friend had often told me that I needed Christian Science. I tried to be courteous to her, but could not give up my belief in "other gods." After the doctor told me there was no help for me in materia medica, this dear friend said to me one day, "I am going to give you a copy of 'Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures' by Mary Baker Eddy, if you will read it." I promised to read it, and did. I also read "The Life of Mary Baker Eddy" by Sibyl Wilbur at the same time. I read with tears of gratitude and humility because I had begun to understand. Since that time I have had no physician but the Christ as taught by Mrs. Eddy, and am a well woman. I have overcome sick headaches and many other ills, both mental and physical, through the knowledge of this truth, for which I am truly grateful.

I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for class instruction.
