It is with a heart filled with gratitude that I send this testimony, hoping it may help to bring health, peace, and joy to some weary sufferer. Many are the blessings and joys that have come to me since I became interested in Christian Science nearly sixteen years ago; and though I still seem to have many hills to climb and valleys to cross, I am thankful for the progress already made in this journey from sense to Soul.

The healings in our family of four have been too numerous to relate in full; but I should like to mention one experience of about four years ago. My husband was taken ill first, and before we recognized the trouble as influenza, our two little girls and I were suffering from the same ailment. A practitioner worked absently for us all, lovingly and faithfully. My husband and the children were very ill. Indeed, it seemed for a while that the baby could not pull through, as her hands and feet had become cold and purple: she knew no one, and had neither cried nor spoken for several days. They were all, however, soon restored to health and happiness. I am grateful to say that, though ill myself, I was given strength from above to nurse all three through the first week, to wait on them night and day, cook for them, do all the household duties, and care for several head of livestock, as well as attend to the outdoor duties which have to be done in the country, getting almost no rest or sleep, and obtaining no nourishment, other than to swallow hurriedly some leftover food as I carried it back to the kitchen from their bedsides. At the end of this time a Christian Science nurse came to us, and helped me wonderfully with all my duties and took care of the baby, who was then conscious, but very weak and helpless. With the nurse's assistance for a week, I was able to take entire charge again. Not until all my hair fell out did I realize how ill I too had been; but I thought I could gladly give up all my hair as I heard again our baby calling "Mamma"; and I know I had never before in all my life been so happy as the first day I got my family dressed and out on the porch to enjoy the warm, bright sunshine. My hair soon grew in again. Though this experience seemed terrible at the time, it left us with blessings for which we shall never cease to be thankful.

Both of our children were born after we came into Science; and wonderful harmony was experienced each time, but particularly with the second child.
