The testimonies in the periodicals have always been a great help to me. It is with a desire to express appreciation for this help that this testimony is given.

When I first began the study of Christian Science I was healed of constipation of eight year's standing. I was also healed of indigestion by reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. A little later I was healed of pneumonia. Just recently I was healed a second time of pneumonia, resulting from smoke and exposure during a fire.

I think that that for which I am most grateful, however, is the healing of restlessness and irritability. Before coming into Christian Science I felt that every moment of time must be occupied with physical activity. I had to be doing something, or be "on the go," all the time. But our beloved Leader's revelation has taught me the peace and joy of letting activity be the result of righteousness,—right thinking. It has revealed as an empty husk the false activity of material pleasures. In "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 230) Mrs. Eddy says, "Rushing around smartly is no proof of accomplishing much."

In my occupation as voice teacher, I used to take great responsibility for the pupils' advancement. I was anxious for them to progress, and failure brought irritability. But now I know that God is the only teacher. He always knows just what His children need, and is constantly supplying it; and it is He who gives the increase. The good results have been amazing.

I have been so protected and regenerated by this healing truth that I cannot imagine myself living without it. I am indeed grateful to God for giving us our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, whose thought was so pure, whose life was so consecrated, that she could discern this new-old idea and give it to the world.—(Mrs.) Elsie R.
