It is with much joy and gratitude that I testify to the benefits received through the study of Christian Science.
About two years ago, while under a seemingly great load of responsibility, care, and worry, I became afflicted with a goiter. This became very noticeable within a year, especially to those who were with me daily; and I was advised to see a physician. This I did, to please others. He told me there was great evidence of a goiter and enlarged glands, and advised me to take medical treatment. I was interested in Christian Science, however, and had great faith in God and Christian Science. I longed for an uplifting thought, and this was lovingly given me by Science friends. While attending a Wednesday evening testimony meeting not long afterwards, I was wonderfully helped by the reading from the desk, and went home very happy. Three days later, while visiting in another city for the week-end, I discovered that my throat was perfectly normal. I knew I was free; and I was glad.
I have also been healed, in one treatment, of sick headaches with which I had been afflicted since childhood. Fear and worry have likewise been overcome, and I wish to say that in this the Christian Science periodicals have been a great help and comfort to me. I am very grateful for the lectures; it was through a lecture on Christian Science that I was led to this truth.
Recently I have had the opportunity of spending two weeks at the Christian Science sanatorium, and the wonderful spiritual uplift and encouragement received there cannot be described in words. I am grateful to God that I was led to this great truth; grateful to Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and to Mary Baker Eddy, whose purity and spiritual-mindedness enabled her to bring to light again the efficacy of the Scriptures, in which we have the blessed assurance that by seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness all things are added unto us.
