For several years Christian Science has been my only...

For several years Christian Science has been my only physician. While the physical healings are always sure and beautiful, the increasing understanding of God and His protection in Science is far more wonderful. We have had many demonstrations of the power of Truth, but I should like to testify to one healing for which I am deeply and unceasingly grateful. A year ago I developed double pneumonia, which had affected me on one occasion before I knew of Science. Remembering the long illness previously experienced, I called a practitioner, who responded with loving encouragement and care. The illness lasted eight days, only two of which were spent in bed. The first evening after recovery my husband and I attended a lecture on Christian Science in another section of the city, and I had no sense of weakness. On our way home in the train I found I was able to read the finest print in the Sentinel without my glasses, which had been worn for thirty-two years. My eyes were astigmatic, and one eye very nearsighted. Since then my sight has been very good, and I can see better without glasses than I ever could see even as a child.

Many other healings have been experienced, but the realization of spiritual growth is the greatest blessing. I am grateful to God; to the Way-shower, Christ Jesus; and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for Christian Science; also to the Scientists who have been so helpful in assisting me to understand this healing truth. I am also very grateful for our authorized publications. The blessing of membership in The Mother Church and a branch church is greatly enjoyed. I earnestly pray for increasing enlightenment, that I may be able to give to others of the blessings received.
