With a view to correcting any false impression that may have been conveyed regarding Christian Science, I shall appreciate an opportunity to comment upon certain statements contained in a sermon reported in an issue of recent date. It is a well-known fact that Christian Science teaches the unreality of sin, disease, and death as a part of God's spiritual universe. It should be remembered, however, that while Christian Science teaches the unreality of these conditions, it by no means ignores them as phases of human experience. In fact, it directly deals with diseased conditions as effects of erroneous thinking, and holds that their cure must come through the operation of spiritual right thinking in human consciousness, all of which is in strict accordance with Scriptural teaching. The Apostle Paul, for instance, plainly states that our bodies are renewed through the renewing of our mind.
