In my great wish to testify regarding the benefits received through the study of Christian Science, I hardly know where to begin, for there is so much to tell. Two healings in our family stand out as having been of great help and encouragement. During the summer, while away from home in a hotel with my husband, I was suddenly overcome by a sense of illness and at times became almost unconscious. I retired to my room and studied our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and worked for myself in Science to the best of my ability. As I seemed no better in the evening, I wrote to a practitioner for help, although I did not think my letter could go till next day. I had to meet a great sense of disappointment and fear of spoiling our short holiday. I went to bed feeling no better. In the morning I awoke healed; and during that day, which was one of the hottest experienced here that summer, I walked ten miles, enjoying the beautiful country and giving thanks to God.

Recently our little girl, aged four, while jumping on her bed, fell against the wooden molding of a picture frame and injured her nose where nostril and upper lip merge. There was a deep three-cornered wound. I took her in my arms and calmed her; the tears of fear and the flow of blood stopped immediately. I repeated some of our Leader's hymns and read aloud from the -textbook for some time. When put to bed, the child fell asleep and slept normally all night. The wound remained open for a day or two, but the little maid made no allusion to it, and in a short time the place healed. I was so grateful then, as on many other occasions, that I was able to be calm and turn straight to divine Love. So much fear has been overcome in my four years' study of this wonderful truth that I am no longer overwhelmed by a false sense of love. The same child was healed instantaneously of worms. Colds and fevers have yielded to treatment. At the birth of this child I had only just begun to take an interest in Christian Science, but had already experienced its healing power. Through the loving help of a practitioner both the babe and I were lifted out of "the valley of the shadow of death." At the birth of my second baby I experienced great freedom from so-called medical laws.

I am being healed of many faults of disposition, of extreme sensitiveness, irritability, selfishness, envy, and im patience. I have been healed of an unkind sense of humor. For these healings I am very grateful.
