For many years I did not know what health and happiness were. I went to Europe several times to see specialists, to seek relief from physical suffering, but in vain. I was worse afterwards than before. Nerve and stomach trouble, besides many other ailments, seemed to hold me in bondage more and more. Finally a relative drew my attention to Christian Science, but I was at first very much opposed to it. However, I soon turned to it in sheer desperation; and ever since it has been my redeemer and healer, my strength, and the light on my path on the way from sense to Soul. I now enjoy good health, and feel stronger and happier than ever before.

Little by little I realize what a "pearl of great price" has come into my life, and that Christian Science is really the demonstrable truth. I can never be grateful enough to God and to Mrs. Eddy, our dear Leader, for Christian Science. I am grateful also for church membership and for the authorized Christian Science literature, which is a daily help in the understanding and practice of Christian Science, and through which I have learned more obedience. The Christian Science Monitor is ever invigorating and encouraging. Last, but not least, I am grateful for the loving and patient help I have received from my teacher in Christian Science, from practitioners, and from friends, at various times.—
