Your correspondent defines Christianity in the statement...

Daily Independent

Your correspondent defines Christianity in the statement of Christ Jesus, "This is my commandment, That ye love one another." All Christian Scientists agree with this statement, and strive continually to live in obedience to it. Christ Jesus, however, proved his love for mankind by healing all manner of sickness and disease, and raising the dead. He also said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, has again revealed to this age the truth which Christ Jesus taught and demonstrated centuries ago; and through this revelation the same works are being performed. "By their fruits ye shall know them," said Christ Jesus.

Your correspondent quotes from James: "Faith, if it hath not works, is dead." James also said: "Shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works."
