A sense of deep gratitude prompts me to express my appreciation for Christian Science. My first experience of its healing power came a number of years ago, when I was discouraged and in distress. A kind gentleman, seeing my condition and apparent ignorance of this healing power, proposed that I visit his home and family. Accepting his invitation, I met with most unusual kindness, an incident I shall always remember. There were no urgent demands or rules proposed during their discussion of Christian Science, and I became a willing listener, with the result that I experienced a healing during my short stay in their home. I returned to the hotel buoyant, and the hope for a better future was established. I did not, however, voice my appreciation until after I discovered I could eat anything set before me and could enjoy a full night's rest. This sudden change in health was wonderful to me—and my friends were not practitioners at that time.

Receptivity to this truth has since helped me to overcome many difficulties which now stand out as evidence of the healing power explained in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Mere words cannot express my appreciation for and love of this knowledge, which increases in proportion to the elimination of erroneous beliefs. This truth and the results which are sure to follow its demonstration are within the grasp of all who reach out and desire betterment in all things.
