It is with a heart full of gratitude that I am giving this testimony of what a blessing Christian Science has been to me. In the year 1918, I began to fail in health, and was informed by physicians that I was suffering from stomach trouble. I was put on a diet, and given rules to live by; but instead of improving I gradually became worse, until the fall of 1921. I was then ordered to a hospital for a thorough X-ray examination. After the doctors had held a consultation, they diagnosed the case as cancer of the upper part of the stomach, where it would be impossible to operate, and declared they could do nothing for me and that I had but a short time to live.

After being informed of this, I talked it over with my family and we decided to try Christian Science; so the following evening, being Wednesday, we went to a Christian Science church. We asked for help, and were introduced to a practitioner, who said he would be very glad to take the case. I called at his office the following day, and through his loving-kindness was relieved of a great worry, and told that I need not be careful of my diet but could eat anything I desired. I continued the treatments, and in three months was back to my normal weight and entirely healed. During this time, almost without realizing it, I had overcome the tobacco habit.
