Love is Ever Present

Sometimes the days seem dreary,
Sometimes the hours seem long;
Sometimes our hearts seem weary,
And kind friends all seem gone.
Ah, then we wake from dreaming,
And count our blessings o'er;
We find that God is with us,—
And can we ask for more?

The prophets and Christ Jesus
Long since have paved the way;
And if we work and follow,
Our footsteps ne'er can stray.
Be brave; stand firm; Love conquers.
God rules and governs man;
Love meets our needs forever,—
This is His holy plan.
