Like a great many others I did not begin the investigation of Christian Science for physical help, but from a great desire for a better understanding of God. This has come to me through the study of the Bible and the application of the truth as taught in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. As I learn to utilize this understanding, I find that it is the same truth which Jesus taught would make us free.

From childhood I had suffered from bilious attacks and constipation. Both of these conditions have been entirely overcome. Last winter I was healed of influenza. The symptoms were particularly severe; and as I was among strangers in a large city, there were times when dismay and fear seemed almost overpowering. The help of a practitioner was therefore telegraphed for, and I was healed instantaneously. These are only a few of the many blessings I have received through the help of Christian Science. It has been my only physician for twelve years, and I have been called upon to prove its efficacy in almost every direction. It has brought me safely through many periods of trial, always lifting me higher spiritually.

I am grateful to God for His loving-kindness and constant care, and grateful to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her unselfed life of devotion and her faithful work, which has made possible to us the understanding of divine Principle.—(Mrs.) Ida Humphries, Montrose, Colorado.
