It is with a heart full of gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me that I send this testimony. When I first took up the study, seven years ago, I did not progress in understanding very fast; but I had read, "God is no respecter of persons," so I knew that what God would do for one He would do for another, if obedient to His law. I kept on studying earnestly and persistently, and putting into practice the understanding I had gained; so that now I am enabled to help in most of the demonstrations for my family and myself, as well as to help others; and can rejoice over the fruit of my work.

Before taking up the study of Christian Science I had taken medicine for a number of years daily for chronic constipation and bilious headaches; but when I began to attend a Christian Science church, and had read some of the Sentinels, I gave up all medicine. I had one treatment for an attack of severe headache, and after that these attacks became less severe and less frequent, until they disappeared altogether. After I had studied for about two years, as the constipation was not entirely overcome, I asked for the help of a practitioner, which was very lovingly given for three weeks. There was very little improvement, but I realized that God's work was done, and that the practitioner had lovingly and patiently done her work too; that it was left for me to continue to do my part. I dismissed the practitioner; and by doing my work in Science the trouble was gradually overcome.

My little girl had measles, chicken pox, and whooping cough the first years we were in Christian Science, and all were healed in a few treatments. My husband also had beautiful healings; in fact, we all have had countless blessings through Christian Science.
