Christian Science is quietly and surely dawning on this age, bringing again the highest, holiest message the world has ever known. It has brought to light once more, and set in operation, that which the darkened understanding had omitted from Christianity since the early centuries, awakening mankind to the vital truths of primitive Christianity and its healing Christ, without which its mission is unfulfilled and incomplete. Lifting thought above the ordinary, limited, human standpoints, it shows that "faith without works is dead," and reveals the fulfillment of that imperishable promise of the Master, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." Christian Science is awakening the human consciousness to the infinite possibilities which Jesus unfolded by his wonderful words and works, whereby the dark clouds of disease, sin, and pain yield to the "glorious liberty of the children of God." On page 230 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mrs. Eddy writes: "This awakening is the forever coming of Christ, the advanced appearing of Truth, which casts out error and heals the sick. This is the salvation which comes through God, the divine Principle, Love, as demonstrated by Jesus."
