Letters from the Field

The following letter has been received by The Christian Science Board of Directors from Chaplain Joel H. Benson, stationed on a United States ship in the harbor of Constantinople, and in charge of the Christian Science relief work in the Near East:—

"Many thanks for your recent remittance for the relief work here. Our activities just now are centered around the Greeks and Russians, particularly the latter, as the Red Cross ship sails for America soon, and we are helping some of them in their incidental expenses.

"We have turned over to the Near East organization all of our former activities in Selimie Barracks, at the recommendation of the Greek Refugee Committee and Commander Sandlin. We succeeded in interesting the Near East organization in this group of needy people; and as they took up the work, we stepped out gradually in their favor.
