I feel very grateful for the help received in our family through Christian Science. I am sending this testimony with the hope that it will encourage others who may be struggling with problems that may not seem to yield.

In May, 1918, my eldest boy, then not quite eight years old, seemed suddenly under a very great strain. In two or three days he went to bed. That afternoon he went into delirium. He was brought out of that with the help of a Christian Science practitioner and seemed to be gaining, until one day we found he could not speak a word. That night was a tension. The practitioner worked all night; and at four o'clock in the morning my mother called me, as she thought the end had come. She sat up all night with the child. I worked in Science to conquer my fear and know that God was his Life, and that he was in the arms of our Father-Mother, Love. The breathing soon became normal, and there was a steady gain for a time. Later, however, he tried to get out of bed, but fell before I could reach him. His right arm lay limp. I picked him up and put him to bed. Finally he lifted the little arm; and by the next day he was much improved. On Sunday he was up and dressed, and began to say a few words. In a few days he became normal again. He is now in the fifth grade at school, and on the honor roll. We feel grateful indeed for our boy's life and health, and the deliverance from infantile paralysis.

During the month after this healing I had further help through Christian Science. I had been troubled for five years and a half with abdominal hernia, which increased till it was double. I now have no trouble from that, and do all kinds of work at home. Also, I was suffering from a displacement. This has been adjusted, and the accompanying ills have disappeared. Dropsy and inflammation of the bladder also were overcome. Many other forms of error have been alleviated and destroyed.
